That word “Welcome” is more than just a simple greeting. It literally means – “It’s a pleasure to receive you as our guest.” That is precisely what we, as a church, want to say to you. Whether you’ve been around in Bath long enough to call yourself a true Bathonian, or you’re setting up home for the first time in our city, or you’re just planning to be here for a year or two before moving on, we would love to receive you as our guest.
Jesus said one time, “Everyone that the Father has given me will come to me, and I won’t turn any of them away”. Such is the welcome of the God we worship and serve; the God we aim to follow as a church. We want to reflect and imitate him.
So please check out our website and find out what is going on in the life of our church. There is something for all ages. We would love for you to come along, meet us and find out more. What’s more we would be delighted to help you in any way we can.
Our hope and prayer is that you may want to become more than a guest; that you might even like to become part of the community here as we worship, serve and follow Jesus together. But for now, why not simply pay us a visit.
You’re very welcome!
All are welcome to our Christmas Services & Events!
Messy Church Christmas Special is like our usual monthly Messy Church for families with lots of opportunity to get messy with craft activities all with a special Christmas theme. Through our songs and Bible story time we'll be celebrating that Jesus, God's Son, came to a messy manger in a simple home 2,000 years ago to be the Saviour of the world rescuing us from the mess and darkness of this world and our own lives. We'll be thinking again of how he wants us to receive him into our lives today. The whole afternoon will be rounded off with lots of party food. It will be a great afternoon and we'd love to see you!
Carols By Candlelight is a wonderful atmospheric event. All the electric lights are switched off and the candle lit gallery provides a sense of Christmas as we sing carols and listen again to the wonder of the Christmas story. Sing your hearts out in Praise of a coming King! Descants, Altos, Tenors and Bases - if you know parts just let it out and join in! It promises to be a heavenly chorus!
Christmas Day arrives and we'll celebrate together at 10.00am - a bit earlier than our typical Sunday morning service. The children like to bring new toys to show and tell and we'll find out which family was woken the earliest! Come and join in the celebration as we remember that our Lord Jesus Christ came from Heaven to earth as a human baby to be our Saviour. Light of the World to rescue us from the darkness in which we live.
And in case we don't see you... Have a very Happy Christmas with friends and family wherever you are.
Love and Peace and Joy x
What is Alpha?
Alpha is a chance to explore and question the meaning of life. Over a series of about ten sessions, you’ll find out about the basics of the Christian faith. Each session involves a main talk and some time to say what you think. It’s fun, relaxed and free, and you can ask anything you like (that’s why over 22.5 million people worldwide have already tried Alpha).
When is Alpha?
We're planning to run our next Alpha course on Monday evenings from mid-January to mid-March 2018. Our first get together on Monday 15 January, at 7.30pm, will be a taster session so you can get a feel for what the course is all about and figure out if you want to take it on from there. On that evening we will serve free hot food and snacks in the main church, we'll get to meet one another, hopefully have some fun together!, we'll watch an Alpha intro video and finish with a quick chat around the tables. The whole evening will be finished by 9pm. We'd love to welcome you.
Who can come to an Alpha course?

Get these dates in your diary:
Sunday October 15th
Sunday November 12th
Sunday December 10th
We meet at 3pm – 5pm. Come in through the big gates off Triangle East.
We do Crafts and Activities based on our theme for the first 45 mins or so. Then a countdown on the big screen makes sure we’re ready for Song time and Bible Story time.
Then we have a hot meal together – there’s always a veggie option and a pud to follow.
I always think, after an action packed family weekend, it’s great for tired busy parents. The kids go home happy and fed – so it’s just bath time and bedtime with no washing up to do!
This year we are thinking about times when Jesus and Food came together – surprisingly often. Sharing food together is something Jesus did to get close and connected in love with the friends and strangers he met. And He still wants to do that today – Come and join us to find out more.
Everyone is welcome!
Did I tell you? It's completely Free!
Pretty Raw is a blog site written by a group of young women including two in our fellowship. Sharon and Lydia have been documenting a life living with Jesus in a modern world.
Their insights into how to live in a challenging world sticking close to His word is inspiring and humbling. They are keeping it real – and holy, connecting real life situations with what the bible has to tell us about living life to the full.
