Bringing the love of Jesus
to the heart of Oldfield Park

In person & online - Sunday 10:30

Welcome to
Oldfield Park Baptist Church

We are a small and diverse group, made up of families, students, professionals, retirees, internationals, and those of all abilities – united in our love of Jesus.

As well as our Sunday service we host a range of groups and activities that look to bring people together: offering friendship, supporting each other, and seeking to share the good news about Jesus as we serve him in the community of Oldfield Park.

Church Life

There are many ways that we encourage folk to get involved, as we seek to support and encourage one another in our walk with Christ.

First we meet as a group on Sunday mornings at 10.30am to hear God’s word preached, to raise our voices in praise to Him, and to pray together.
For the kids, we run Sunday’s Cool – a space for our primary-aged children to study the bible, play games, and do craft. There are toys and quiet spaces available for toddlers and babies. After the service we have tea and coffee together and it’s a great time to catch up and share encouragements.

Every first Sunday of the month we hold our Prayer Focus in the church. Starting from 5pm, we bring world events, those we support in mission, and needs of the church before the Lord in prayer.

As a Baptist church we encourage new believers to make a public declaration of their faith through Baptism. We also encourage believers that make us their spiritual home to join us in formal membership to become involved in the decision making and running of the church.

Community Outreach

The church is called to be a light into the community in which it lives.
As such, we are seeking to engage with those around us in a number of different ways. We have many different projects that provide for a wide range of needs in the area, responding to our belief that Jesus came for the whole world.

Each of the projects is run by volunteers from within the church as a way of expressing their faith in Jesus.

Take-a-Break

Take-a-Break is our monthly meet and greet meal. Open to all ages, members of the church provide a simple, affordable meal and a chance to get to know people in the community better.

Noah’s Ark Tots & Toddlers

Noah’s Ark is our parent and child group. It’s a great space for mums, dads, and carers to drop in, let their little ones burn off some steam, and grab a cup of tea or coffee!

Biblical Counsel

Sometimes Bible promises and even God himself can feel distant. Biblical counsel seeks to bring the hope of Jesus in scripture to every area of our lives – even the messy bits.
